What is the first thing a woman need to do after getting raped? Some women may report the case right away, while others may keep quite because of the stigma attached to it.
What if the person who raped her is her husband's brother? That is another case entirely as it involves family and could bring about the breakup of that family.
But my question now is this, does a woman because of what may happen between the two brothers, refuse to report such a case? Won't that open up doors for more of what the brother has already done?
I'm sure so many questions are already running through my reader's mind right now. Just take your time to savour this woman's story....
"I have so many questions running through my mind as I wondered about what to do. Yes! I was raped by my own husband's brother and don't know what to do. I worry because, of how my husband may take it and I also worry because I got myself into the situation. The most shameful part is that, at a point in the process of being raped by my brother-in-law, my body betrayed me and it took pleasure in the act.
Let me tell you my story from the beginning.
My name is Sandra and I'm 26yrs old. My husband's name is Mike. I met him when I was working as a secretary with a construction firm. I was receiving a meagre salary and hoping for a better place. I was coming home from work one fateful day. Looking all sad as I waited for a cab by the road side when a Toyota car stopped. The window glass rolled down and a voice called out ''Hello Sandra, where are you heading to?" I looked into the car to see who was calling me and I saw that it was Mike. He was in our office last week to seek our expertise in a contract he had gotten and we got talking as he waited for my boss to arrive. We exchanged numbers and he promised to call but had not called. I was surprised but pleased to see him again cos I was beginning to like him. Infact, I waited endlessly for his call which never came.
I didn't want to act cheap, so I didn't ask for his no, maybe I would have been forced to call him.
"Why should I tell you where I'm heading to when you failed to give me a call"? I joked with him and put up a frown that was not real. He pleaded and asked me to hear him out first before judging him. He gave me a lift home and then took me out for dinner later that day.
That was how my relationship began with Mike and grew each day. I introduced him to my family and my parents loved him because of his amiable nature. My father even told me he was a nice guy and should try not to lose him.
Few months later, Mike proposed to me and I accepted. We had a low key wedding. Shortly afterwards, he took me to meet his brother, he was out of the country as at the time we got married. I was surprised that at 40, Mike's brother was still single. He is a socialite and enjoys life's pleasures. He was nice and cool and was more like Mike, only that he was funnier.
When we were about leaving, he gave me a hug and I felt his hands pressing my soft behind, but I thought it was just an innocent act, so I smiled and said nothing.
Shortly afterwards, a terrible incident happened in our home, which resulted into the ordeal I had with my brother in-law. A building contract my husband did had collapsed and every penny spent on it meant wastage. Some group of Policemen came to our housse to arrest my husband. I didn't want to inform his parents, so I was left with no choice than to call his brother and explain to him what has happened.
Keep in torch tomorrow as I bring to you, the concluding part of this story. If you find it interesting. Please, do not hesitate to leave a comment, and also share it on your social network pages.
